Handball isn’t one thing. It’s the six-year-old learning to catch a ball for the first time, the youth team fighting for a spot in the league, the senior side that’s been playing together for a decade, and the barefoot beach handball match on a Saturday afternoon.
This site is about all of it.
With extensive experience as both a player and a coach, I still learning something new about this game almost every week. There’s no shortage of handball content out there — but most of it either skims the surface or is written by people who’ve never stood on a sideline calling out a defense in the last minute of a tight game. Handball4everyone is different, and here’s why.
Built on 30 years of playing
I didn't pick up handball last season. I've been playing for three decades — long enough to have gone through every phase of the game myself: the awkward beginner years, the competitive grind, the injuries, the comebacks. Everything I write comes from having actually felt it, not just studied it.
Shaped by 20+ years of coaching
Playing teaches you the game. Coaching teaches you how to explain it. For more than 20 years I've coached youth teams learning the basics and senior teams competing to win — two completely different challenges that demand two completely different skill sets. That range is exactly what shows up in the content here: drills that actually work with an 8-year-old's attention span, and tactical breakdowns sharp enough for an experienced senior squad.
Three sides of the same sport
Most handball content sticks to one lane. This blog doesn't. Mini handball, full-format handball, and beach handball each get their own space here, because understanding how they connect — how a mini handball drill builds the instincts a senior player relies on, or how beach handball sharpens footwork and improvisation — makes you better at all three.
